Assort's TikTok, Instagram and YouTube accounts have over 1.4 million followers in total (November 2026). When a salon post features your work, you are invited as a collaborator, so it can appear on your own Instagram too. For freelancers, that means being seen by many people; for employees, it means working at a salon many people already know.

Assort London welcomes about 125 new guests a month on average, and the average spend per visit is about £120 before VAT (May–October 2026, from our own sales records). A good place to build your own clientele.

Japanese techniques, and every service
We do it all: cuts, colour, highlights and balayage, perms, digital perms, Japanese straightening and treatments. Digital perms and Japanese straightening are rare in Western salons; here they are part of everyday work.

Stylists take on monthly cut and colour tasks in our training app, and our educators score each one within 14 days.

We set no age limit, and we see your years in the trade as experience. Only the working holiday visa itself has age limits, set by each government.

About the working holiday (YMS)

Skilled Worker visa sponsorship
Assort Limited (London) holds a UK government Skilled Worker sponsor licence — we are a registered official sponsor. If a working holiday is not open to you, sponsorship can be discussed for stylists with roughly five or more years of experience as a stylist (assistant years not counted), subject to selection and an interview. UK decisions have become strict in recent years, so nothing is guaranteed — but the path is real. And if the UK conditions do not fit, we can often suggest one of our other cities, like Amsterdam — just ask in the chat.

Salon Receptionist
The face of the salon — the role that welcomes our clients. Our receptionists are also the salon's content creators: they make the salon's Instagram posts, reels and stories, and write articles for the salon's website journal. No hairdressing licence required. Your photo is shown on the salon's website: this is part of the job.
